Web Developer

Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative is seeking a full time Web Developer. This position writes, tests, and debugs web applications to assist in the support of Operations, HR/Payroll, Safety, and other enterprise systems.

Essential Job Duties

· Work with management and staff to better utilize all information software

· Develop, maintain, and test new web applications

· Develop and maintain databases and tables

· Perform routine maintenance on site/server

· Maintain confidentiality, given the sensitive nature of some projects

· Assist management and users with software related questions and assistance

· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

· Other duties as required by the business

· Adhere to all company policies and all safety, food safety, feed safety, and sanitation rules and programs

Qualifications

· A.S. Degree in Computer Information Systems, or comparable experience

· Strong software development background

· Ability to understand and debug computer programs

· Self-motivated and strong problem-solving skills

· Expertise with MYSQL and other databases

· Strong communication skills

Knowledge, Skill Set, and Abilities required to do the job well

· Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels

· Proficient in internet related applications, such as email, FTP/SFTP and how web browsers work

· Knowledge of the following languages:

4 HTML4/5

4 CSS3

4 JavaScript (jQuery/Bootstrap)

4 PHP

4 XML

4 MYSQL

· Understanding of website framework

· Ability to create mobile friendly designs, with easy to understand framework, no matter the screen size

· Ability to maintain a high standard of usability for all users, including accessibility

· Preferred - Ability to program in other languages, such as Ruby or Python

· Preferred - Ability to work with a dedicated server running Linux and WHM/cPanel
