Human Resources (HR) Coordinator



Moorhead Public Service (MPS) is accepting applications for a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator. Under limited supervision, this position performs a variety of human resources functions and tasks, including recruiting, onboarding, setting up new employees for payroll and benefits,  evaluating and recommending modifications to employee benefits, and assisting with discipline, collective bargaining negotiations, and other human resources functions as needed. These functions include compiling, preparing, and maintaining human resources data and records, and ensuring that all human resources data are recorded in accordance with established policies, procedures, and Minnesota state law.


Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or equivalent field, and three years of experience in the human resources field.


Desired qualifications include five years of experience in the human resources field and advanced human resources certification, such as Professional Human Resources or SHRM-Certified Professional.


The 2024 salary range for this position is between $71,734 and $110,359 annually. The starting salary will be dependent upon experience and education. Excellent health insurance and benefits package.
